A Scene At A Railway Station
A Scene At A Railway Station |
Last Sunday, I went to the Delhi Railway Station to see off my elder brother. We reached the station much earlier. I bought tickets and came on the platform. The train had not yet arrived.
There was a large crowd on the platform. Some men were reading newspapers; some were buying books at the book-stall. There was great rush at the tea stall. The vendors were having a busy time. The coolies were going 'up and down' with luggages.
In the meantime the train arrived at the station. There was a great rush. The passengers began to throw their luggage in the windows. They pushed each other to get seats. My brother got a comfortable seat.
Soon the guard whistled and waved the green flag. The driver started the train. I bade farewell to my brother and came out of the station.
