The name of my village is Rampur. It is situated near Ambala. It is five miles away from the railway station. It is linked by a 'Kachcha' road.
Most of the houses are made of mud. The streets are narrow. There are no drains to carry away the dirty water. There is a pond near the village. Cattle bathe and drink water.
There is a well. Women bring pitchers to the village well both in morning and evening to fetch water. The village is surrounded by vast fields.
The people lead a simple life. Most of them are illiterate. Their main occupation is farming. They grow various kinds of crops. They are early risers. They drive their oxen to the fields early in the morning and still there all the day. They have few recreations. At noon old men gathered under a tree and discuss the topic of the village.
The peoples are healthy, hard-working and innocent.
