The Camel And The Jackal
The Camel And The Jackal |
A camel and a jackal were fast friends. One day the jackel suggested to the camel to eat water melons in a field across a river. The camel agreed and carried the jackal on his back across the river.
Reaching there, they began to eat the water melons. When the jackal had eaten to its fill, it began to howl. The camel requested it not to do so. But the jackal replied that it was its habit to howl after meal. In the mean time, the farmer came there. The jackal hid itself in some bushes. The farmer beat the camel badly. The camel ran towards the river.
After some time both came to the river. The camel again carried the jackal on his back.
When it reached the mid-stream it began to roll into the water. The jackal requested him not to do so. But the camel replied that it was his habit to do so after meal. The result was that the jackal was drowned.
