Electricity in an important invention of science. It has brought a great change in our lives. In ancient times the homes were lit by earthen lamps. But now electricity has lighted every inch of our homes. In the towns and cities all the streets are also lit with bulbs or electric rods.
In homes we can cook food an electric heaters. We can warm ourselves with heaters. The washing machines have given great relief to the housewife. It can wash clothes very fast. We can preserve vegetables, fruits, milk and butter in refrigerators.
The railway trains are now run with the help of electricity. They run faster than the trains run by steam. Radio, television, tape recorders have made our life quite enjoyable. We cannot hear news without their help and cannot also see films, dramas, tele-films, serials. We can even study with the help of electricity while sitting in home.
In short, electricity is a great boom for us.
