Among the miracles of science is the invention of television. It was invented by a Scientist, Baird. On this we can see the images of the persons reading news or doing some acting and also hear their voices. So this is an audio - visuals appliance.
Televisions have almost the transistors and radios. With it we can see cultural programmes. We can hear news. We can even study while sitting at home. We can also get knowledge of every type. There is also provision for showing films and dramas on television.
Matches played at national and international and international levels are also direct telecasted. The Republic Day and Independence day functions at national and regional levels are also shown on television.
Though television is a very useful thing but if we see it continuously it can effect our eyesight. We should therefore make use of it moderately.
