I belong to a big village. Many fairs are held there. The Basant fair is the most important of all. It is held in an open ground outside the village. The villagers wait for this day eagerly. They wear gala clothes.
Last year, the Basant Fair was held on 13th March. We, a few friends, visited the fair in the afternoon. A bazaar had been set-up. There was a great rush at the shops, office confectioners and toy sellers.
The jugglers and the snake charmers were showing feats. The most colourful event of the day was the 'bhangra' dance in the evening. We left for home along with others.
