Introduction To The Poem

Words are wonderful vehicles of our lovely ideas. They are truly the food and dress of thoughts. Each one of us has something new or striking to say and we are equally willing to hear a beautiful poem or gripping story. There is no end to thoughts and no limit to listeners. But many of our marvellous thoughts die for want of proper words. The poet tells us to learn English because mastering this language is an interesting game. Only words can let our fresh thoughts out of the mind where they are imprisoned.
The poem is simple but thought provoking. It is a call to master English.

Summary In English

The words we speak bring out our thoughts. Without words or language, we can neither think nor speak. Words provide clothing to the ideas. The poet calls upon all of us to have a stock of words and a style of expression so that our thoughts do not end upon smoke. English is a language that can be learnt by one and all. Mastering this language is an interesting game.
What we all need is only to match the words to our thoughts. Only then can we put forth our ideas clearly, beautifully and effectively. There is no shortage of thoughts. A lot is left to be said or expressed. Right words act as dress and food of thought. Ideas are born in the guise of words. They exist and move with the help of words.
People love to hear some original, fresh and lovely ideas. Let us realise that we have kept our thoughts imprisoned in our mind.  They can give the listner a surprise, a wonderful joy. But those prisoners need to be set free through words.

Summary In Hindi

 जो शब्द हम बोलते है वे हमारे विचारों को व्यक्त करते है। शब्दों अथवा भाषा के बिना हम न तो सोच सकते है न ही कुछ बोल सकते है। शब्द ही हमारे विचारों को वस्त्र पहनाते है। कवि हम सभी से अपील करता है कि हम अपने पास शब्दों का कुछ भंडार तथा अभिव्यक्ति की एक शैली बनाकर रखें ताकि हमारे विचार हवा में उड़ न जाए। अंग्रेजी ऐसी भाषा है जिसे सभी लोग सीख सकते है। इसको बोलना , लिखना , सीखना एक रोचक खेल है। 
हमें आवश्यकता इतनी है कि हम अपने विचारों के लिए उपयुक्त बराबर के शब्द खोज लें। तभी हम अपने विचारों को स्पष्ट , सुंदर तरीके से तथा प्रभावी ढंग से प्रेषित कर सकते है। विचारों की कोई कमी नहीं है। कहने , व्यक्त करने के लिये बहुत - सी बातें शेष है। सही शब्द विचारों को जामा पहनाते है  तथा उनका भोजन स्वरुप होते है। विचार शब्दों के भेष में ही जन्म लेते है। वे शब्दों की मदद से ही जीवित रहते है तथा गतिमान बनते है। 
लोगों को कुछ मौलिक , ताजगी लिये सुन्दर विचारों की लालसा बनी रहती है। हमें जान लेना चाहिए कि हमने अपने विचारों को दिमाग में कैद कर रखा है। वे विचार श्रोताओं को आश्चर्यचकित कर सकते है, उन्हें अद्भुत ख़ुशी दे सकते है। पर उन बंदियों को शब्दों के माध्यम से मुक्ति देनी होगी , कैद से बाहर जाना होगा।
