Introduction To The Poem

Beauty is a very vague thing. It is often said that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. The same object or person may appear pleasing to one and repulsive to another. We often see it in a Woman's face. But men are equally handsome. A poem or an idea can be striking and soul - stirring. Beauty is there in all the objects of nature, even in grassy fields and flowing waters or sky kissing mountains. The eyes see it, the ears hear it and heart feels it. The beauty of the human face and body is shortlived. Even the melody of a singer may get lost. But the beauty of good deeds and noble thoughts is a source of eternal joy.

Summary In English

What is beauty or truth or sin ? There is no clearcut or absolute definition. Beauty is interpreted differently by different people. The poet's approach to beauty is unique. He sees beauty, he hears beauty and he feels beauty.
Beauty is seen in nature in physical form. It is there in the warm sunlight, in green trees, in chirping birds, in the growing crops, in the sweating of people, and in their expression of joy when their ripe crops are reaped.
Beauty can be heard as well in various sounds, especially at night. The blowing wind makes a whistling sound. The rain drops pit - pat on the roof. Some singer sings from his soul. The melody of such mixed sounds appears sweet and lovely to the ears.
But the highest form of beauty exists in good actions and noble thoughts. They haunt us in our dreams. They are reflected in our honest work. Good deeds and great ideas sweeten our leisure also. Thus real beauty resides in within us. It gives long lasting joy.

सुंदरता , सत्य या पाप क्या है ? इनकी कोई स्पष्ट और सही परिभाषा नहीं है। सुंदरता की भिन्न - भिन्न लोग अपनी - अपनी तरह से व्याख्या करते है। कवि का सुंदरता के प्रति दृष्टिकोण अनूठा है। वह सौंदर्य को देखता है, उसे सुनता है तथा महसूस करता है। 
प्रकृति में सुंदरता भौतिक रूप में दिखाई देती है। यह उष्ण धुप में , हरे वृक्षों में , चहचाती चिड़ियों में , बढ़ रही फसलों में , मानव - पसीने में और उनके भावों में दिखाई देती है जब वे अपनी पकी फसलों को काटते है। 
सुंदरता को अनेक प्रकार की आवाज़ों में रात को सुना जा सकता है। बहती पवन सी - सी की आवाज करती बहती है। वर्षा की बूँदें छत पर पट - पट गिरती है। कोई गायक अपनी आत्मा से गीत गाता है। इन मिश्रित आवाज़ों की मधुरता हमारे कानों को बहुत मीठी तथा मोहक लगती है। 
पर सर्वोच्च प्रकार की सुंदरता तो नेक कार्यों और नेक विचारों में छिपी होती है। ये हमारे सपनों में याद आते है। वे हमारे ईमानदारी भरे कामों में दिख जाते है। महान कार्य तथा महान विचार हमारे अवकाश के क्षणों को भी मधुर बना देते है। इस प्रकार से वास्तविक सुंदरता  हमारे अंदर ही रहती है। वह चिरकाल तक हमें हर्षित करती रहती है।
