Winter in Delhi is short, but it becomes very cold sometimes.
I still remember one cold winter day. The sky was covered with clouds. There was fog everywhere. Nothing could be seen. The attendance in the school was - very short. There was a strong wind blowing outside.
We wanted to play. But there was a hailstorm and then heavy rain. The sun appeared in the afternoon only for a short time. The clouds appeared again in the evening. I felt very warm and comfortable when I reached home. People preferred to stay indoors. I enjoyed hot coffee with some pakoras. I switched on my room heater and watched a cricket match.
We have mainly four seasons in Delhi. The season of Delhi depends upon the climate of the North and West. When there is snowfall in Himachal and Uttranchal Pradesh during December, January, we face severe cold in Delhi.
