Last year during the rainy season it rained cats and dogs in Delhi. Water began to over flow the banks of Jamuna. It spread in fields and villages. The houses began to collapse. The villagers ran to the safe places. Most of their things were washed away. The trees were uprooted. The crops were under water and damaged.
The Government helped the people in every possible way. Food-articles and clothes were air dropped. Camps were set up.
After a week the flood abated. All the people returned to their houses. They looked sad. They had suffered a heavy loss.
In last decade we could not see any flood like situation in Delhi. It does not rain heavily in rainy season. It may happen only on the banks of Jamuna river. In that case Govt. of Delhi take effective steps and bring the situation under control.
