It was mid-night. Suddenly, I heard the cries of Fire! Fire! I rushed out and at once went to the spot. Our neighbouring house was on fire. Flames were leading-up to the sky. Clouds of smoke were rising. Shouts of crying were coming out from the house. Two brave youngmen entered in the house with the help of a ladder. Soon they rescued all the family member from the house on fire.
People were throwing water over the flames. Some were throwing dust on fire.
In the meantime a fire - engine arrived there. The fire-men ran on all sides with water pipes. After an hour or so, they brought the fire under control. There was a great loss of property , but no loss of life.
The people who were present there praised the fire-brigade men and the rescue worker. By their efforts a very dangerous accident was avoided.
