A prize distribution function is one of the most important events of our school. It is held in the month of March. Last year, it was celebrated in the second week of the March.
The Mayor of Delhi presided over the function. A tent was set - up in the school compund. Carpets were spread. Benches and chairs were arranged to sit one thousand persons. The place was decorated nicely.
The Mayor arrived at 4 p.m. The Principal and the members of the staff received him at the gate. The school band played all the time. The Mayor took the chair and all cheered.
The librarian and two teachers purchased prizes from the bazaar.
The function started with "Jan Gan Mana". There was a variety programme. The Principal read out the annual report. The Mayor gave away the prizes. Then he made a short speech. The Principal thanked him and the function ended.
