The Children's Day is celebrated all over India on November 14 every year. It is the birthday of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru.
Nehru was very fond of children. He called them flowers. For this reason his birthday is celebrated as the Children's Day. People go to Nehru's Samadhi at Shanti Van and offer flowers. In schools games and cultural programmes are held. Leaders give speeches to inspire children. They are advised to follow the path of Chacha Nehru.
